Trouble :)

Really no words are needed... Lydia wore this hat ALL evening. Through dinner. Through playtime. The hat somehow even managed to stay on through many rounds of hide and seek. This girl and her accessories are something else!

Long Story...

We will just leave this at a very long TMI story but out of desperation, we bought Lydia her potty. One day these will be great blackmail pictures...

Getting used to the potty.

Yep, I think I can do this!

Who else can carry their potty around??? Mighty Woman!

"Ta-da"

Preparing to wear the potty as a hat.

So excited about sitting on the potty.

Oh, yes. Eating soup on the potty. Jealous???

Wall Art...

One more sign that Lydia is now a toddler, WALL ART! She loves to play in her room by herself. I was fixing lunch and realized that her room is very quiet. I quickly ran the steps and my sweet little child came out of my office. This is not a good sign because the office is far from child proofed. But being a toddler she was very excited with her wall art and brought me to the wall to show me her art work.

The Artist

I am sure this is talent...

We even decorated the window!
After the artist got her picture taken with her art, she got to clean the mess... She actually did a pretty good job and we have chatted about no more art on the walls. (Next time, the camera will be put away. But who can resist documenting this first!!!!). And since the art didn't come off the paint, I think I may be able to talk James into painting another room :) Really the neon yellow walls are not that pretty...

2010 vs 2011

After the last post about Lydia's help with the Christmas tree decorating, this was her help last year. I am not sure that my helper last year even noticed that there was a tree?!?!

In 2010, we even dressed the baby up for the picture infront of the tree experience! This year, we got a 1/2 way decent picture!

Just Learning to Sit Up...

Laying down is easier!

Attempt #1

Attempt #2
Took four attempts to get a picture of Lydia this year infront of the tree...

Got 75% of the wiggly, giggly girl...

And when she was out of breath and needed a quick chew on her fingers break, I got THE picture! Not great, but it will document the fact that we did have a picture infront of the tree...

Pictures with Mom and Dad, 2010

We have so many pictures from 2010 and I just posted the better ones. This year, I am posting both pictures I have gotten of Lydia infront of the tree with her parents. Hopefully before the tree comes down, we can get a couple more pictures! We shall see :)

Was only able to hold the child down for two pictures. Next time!

Tree Decorating

Despite the fact that the weather was a warm 70 - 80 degree day, we decided that we just had to decorate the Christmas tree. All the twinkly lights were calling our name!

James helped this year (there is a first for everything!)

Lydia helped (but we knew she would!).

All done!!!!!!
And then we decided that we just HAD to have twinkly lights around the window (maybe when we are closer to Christmas we will put up some additional twinkly lights!). We will just say that this project was quite the undertaking. We did one window, took a long time, and my helper was ALLOT of help ;)

Thank You Fisher Price!

Thank you Fisher Price for giving us the gift of getting to have a complete conversation this week. We appreciate it (and Lydia appreciates getting to open and close the doors to her kitchen at her own convenience!).
