Our Week

We were home most of last week (snow - need I say more). Lydia left no toy untouched. We did tons and tons of projects. Baked. Made play-doh. Played in the snow. We even made snow man rice krispy treats! Basically we had a really good time!

We finally got to get out of the house. It was a joyous occassion. After getting everybody out the door and loaded in the car, I looked over and James was scarping the windows of the car in his short sleeve shirt. The weather was sooooo cold. Moral of the story: once a Minnesota resident always ready for cold weather!

Lydia's dance class. Isn't she the cutest???

Talking to Isaac (aka PHOTO BOMB!)

"We are doing WHAT today???"

"I would rather stay home".

Lydia's cuteness while setting the table.

Snow Day Part II

While impatiently waiting for the snow to start, Lydia decided the "snow is never coming". So she took matters into her own hands and made her own snowflakes.

The SNOW finally started!!!!!!!

Ofcourse we went outside and then we came inside and ran from window to window watching the snow fall. It was GREAT!

The winter wonderland!!!!

"Isaac it snowed! We are going to have soooooo much fun", says Lydia.

"Oh, sister. You are funny. I am not into the cold!".

Lots of powdery snow!

A Real Snow Angel

And ofcourse after playing outside in the snow, we just had to have hot chocolate!

Later in the day, Lydia and James went outside to play. Isaac was so impressed (he is really looking forward to being able to play with those two).

Dog Owners!

Dear Dog Owners of the World:

Why do you walk your dog and leave your dog's poop in my yard?

Signed: Non-Dog Owners

P.S. Did the sign work? Nope not really. BUT at the least made me feel better!

Bike Riding!

Yes, warm enough for bare feet!

Oh, look! Dad's bike fell over and the trailer stays upright (so Mom can not worry!).

Riding Off Into the Sunset!

Doesn't everybody in the middle of winter decide to get their acts together for a family bike ride??? Well, we did! Now we can't wait for spring (and Isaac to be big enough to ride along with us!).

First Snow of the Year!

As soon as the snow started, we were outside (and yes, it was bedtime, dark, and soooooo cold!). But really in North Carolina you never know how long the snow will actually last.

Lydia was not that thrilled with having to wear a coat. Apparently she couldn't "move".

But she was a bit excited about the snow!

We danced in the snow!

Scooping the abundance of snow off the sandbox.

And there was a TON of snow on the beach chair... We rescued the chair from having the sun melt the snow off.

Our snowman! Soooooo cute ;) This snowman made me laugh all day long. Lydia ran to the window all day to check on her snowman. It was a sad moment when the snowman melted.

We made snow (I mean mud) angels!

An upside down snowman! This idea came from Lydia's MN cousins (she thinks the upside down snowmen are sooooooo funny!).
