Sad Little Girl

After a weekend of Lydia following Dad around the house. Helping Dad. Playing with Dad. Chasing Dad. Reading books with Dad. Playing ball with Dad. Letting Dad lay her down for naps. (Are you seeing a theme?)

Dad had to go back to work.

Can you say sad little girl? She is a bit confused as to why Dad doesn't love her enough to stay home with her all day every day (the entire concept of going to work is a bit abstract for this child who is more accustomed to her Dad going to the basement to work!). So many tears have been shed. She is holding a bit of a grudge against Dad but life goes on.

She sure did enjoy Thanksgiving weekend with Dad 24-7 - and since we were not sleeping much it really was 24-7!

Pays to Have a "Handy" Husband

Recently we have had some trouble with our air conditioner. We called a repairman who really could not find anything wrong. And then the problem was intermittent (ever feel like you are losing your mind!). After several days of the fan running constantly, the house getting hot, and then the compressor freezing we got persistent in finding the problem.

The problem: the thermostat kept coming loose off the wall.
