Tap Shoes and Library Story Time

Isaac thinks the world of Lydia (and I know Lydia thinks Isaac is the coolest kid around town!). All through out story time Isaac kept scooting over to his sister and just putting a hand on her.  It was cute ;)

"Lydia lets dance together!"

"I will hold you tight Isaac".

Lydia is taking a tap class and "needed" tap shoes (need and want is a lesson we need to work on!).

I think mom is brave to have tap shoes in the house ;)

Storybook Ball

We went to the Storybook Ball at the library this weekend. SO much fun! There was dancing, crafts, games, and where Lydia chose to spend her time - a quiet corner listening to stories. We were very surprised that is where she ended up spending the most time. Sadly, I forgot the camera and neither James or I brought our phones! There were tons of cute photo opportunities had we remembered a camera ;)
Being Transformed into "Fancy Nancy".

And in typical Fancy Nancy style, Lydia needed to do her own hair. Her special night so she got to do her hair herself!

"I really really am Fancy Nancy".

And after all great evenings, a stop for a milkshake is a must!

I Think We Have Our Hands Full...

This weekend I got Lydia out some play clothes. Cute but play clothes. Clothes a child could go to story time in, roll on the floor, jump in, crawl through the room, and basically be a comfy and cozy one year old in. Well, Lydia came to her bedroom, took a look at this outfit, and shook her little head. Well, being that it was Saturday morning and we were in no rush at all (the child takes FOREVER to pick out her own clothes!) I let her pick out her own clothes.

After she had selected the cute dress, appropriate tights, and a beautiful bow down she runs to present herself to dad. The little princess then spins for her dad, claps her little hands, and waits for the applause. (Life is good as a one year old!).

I think we have our hands full with this little one!

Presenting Our self to Dad

Off to Story time (notice baby in hand!)

"Hurry up! I will miss the fun."
The sad part of this is Lydia was dressed up and James and I were wearing sweat shirts and jeans. I am sure people wondered why I made our child get so dressed up when we were sooooooo casual!
