Lydia has decided to teach herself to read this summer. We have given her the tools she needs but leaving this one totally up to Lydia! She is a bit obsessive over this talent and spends some time every day playing Starfall on the Kindle and then finding the different letters in her easy readers and practicing the sounds. Many times through out the day we have a quiz Mom session of "what sound does _____ letter make" and then she practices the sound.
She was sooooo excited this week to get her little hands on the BOB books. "I CAN read Mommy". So she has the book memorized by this point but she was able to read book 1 (with lots of help!).
