Painting Nails

This little girl is such a girl! After asking (while I was fixing dinner night after night last week) we finally got to paint Lydia's fingers and toes. The pictures didn't turn out super well - but alternating pink and hot pink on the fingers. And one foot is light pink while the other foot is hot pink.

Can we say GIRL???

U is for Umbrella

Lydia hasn't really been into projects lately (who has time for crafting when there are books and the great outdoors???). But we let Lydia do projects when the desire hits her - it did not hit much this week :)

But we did do a little coloring...
And glue - oh, how we love glue!

She knows most of her shapes. The hexagon and octagon trip her up (not sure if the actual shapes confuse her or just the funny words...).

Dot Art is so much fun!

Halloween

Lydia's Halloween Costume
And for Halloween Lydia was pretending to be (drum roll please!!!!)

TWO!

Nope, not a princess. Not a fairy. Not a butterfly. Not a little girl. TWO! Who can argue with that logic???

Park with Cousins

We went to the park with Lydia's cousins last week. Comically enough now that her cousins are moving out of the area the cousins are actually old enough to enjoy playing with each other.HAHA - isn't that how life works sometimes ;)
Cousin Lydia Swinging

Cousin Andrew Swinging

Yes, the cousins refer to  each other as Cousin ________ but why would you call your Aunt and Uncle by title and not your cousin... Makes sense even if it is weird!

LEAVES!

Yes, Lydia believes that one must wear a helmet to play in leaves...

Spinning!

Throwing!

"It's SNOWING" says Lydia. (Don't argue with the girl - that may be all the snow she sees in the South!)

Raking More Leaves

Sliding!

Kicking!

And a Much Needed Break!

Little People Thanksgiving

Lydia is currently obsessed with Little People. She has ignored them for a long time but over the last month the Little People ROCK. (They ROCK in Mom's world because Lydia doesn't like anybody to play Little People with her!).

I saw the Thanksgiving Little People set and knew that Lydia would enjoy that!

That smile sums up Little People Time at Our House!

Cuteness!

You don't see the toddler? Neither did James but he does obey the toddler very well when she went out of her way to drop her baby off with Dad to babysit. OH, and apparently every good babysitter reads books!

Lydia's quest to sit at the bar to eat!

She thinks she talked Dad into this great activity...
