New Year's Eve

We had a crazy New Year's Eve! Crazy I say ;)

The kids got to pick out a dessert. They picked out smores brownies (the adults in the house weren't willing to try those!). The kids have enjoyed their treat though.

We turned out all the lights and watched the balls drop on Netflix at 6:30 pm. We even drank sparkling grape juice on a picnic blanket in the floor. We did watch all the countdowns Netflix offered and I think Care Bears was the favorite at our house...

Christmas Eve

James has a tradition of working on Christmas Eve and the kids and I have the tradition of going out to lunch. This year we went a couple days early. (So much rain the week of Christmas and we needed something to do!). We even got dessert and the kids thought they were hot stuff ;)

Lydia came running down the steps on Christmas Eve already dressed in her Christmas dress. She had been saving this particular dress for Christmas eve!

Presents from Pappaw ;)

Christmas Morning

The calm before the storm:

James and Isaac had too much creativity this year with their wrapping ;)

Christmas Love

We have lots of loving relatives and friends who sent our kids fun gifts. James and I decided the kids would probably be a bit overwhelmed to receive so many new toys all at once. So we had Christmas every night for about a week and the kids got to pick a present or two to open after dinner. They looked forward to this activity allot (and gave them something fun and different to play with on the days leading up to Christmas!).

The weather was funky this week and hot one day, cold the next, AND Isaac was learning to go potty. So look past the many different seasons represented in our clothing. And Isaac spent this week naked so there are not as many pictures of him...

Playing in the Leaves

We decided to hit the high spots regarding the leaves (i.e. the path to the playground and to the neighbor's house - little feet kept slipping on weit leaves!). Lydia was trying to teach Isaac how to jump in the leaves. He did not seem to really enjoy the activity all that much but Lydia had a wonderful time!

I love Lydia's enthusiasm and passion for everything in life :)

Lydia, this is a weird activity! haha
