Our Week

Sick kids, sleepover, museum trips, many walks, and that pretty much sums up our week :)

After looking at these pictures, now I know why we have all been a bit tired!

Stojan Farm Strawberries

We have strawberries!!!!! Lydia was given strawberry plants and we apparently transferred the strawberry plants correctly because we have berries. (I think strawberry plants are just very forgiving as I kept meaning to buy dirt for these pitiful plants and never made it to the store).

You mean to tell me there is food in my front yard???

Isaac can now not go outside without stopping to pick a strawberry. He says they are "ummmmm". I say bitter but the kids like them!

Next harvest: BLUEBERRIES!

T-Ball

Every set of siblings needs ONE bat and TWO balls right??? I thought so! Anyhow, I bought the kids a tball set to celebrate Thursday. Makes sense right?

Hide Little Guy

When Isaac gets annoyed with Lydia's love (she is sweet to him but he wants to be an independent guy and sometimes that is hard with a big sister eager to help you!), he packs his bucket of toys and goes to hide in the corner. If a person comes anywhere near him, he screams and howls until they walk away. Cute to see him wanting to be independant. The howling is less cute.

Happy Mother's Day

This year for Mother's Day I suggested to James that the kids could paint a wood treasure from the craft store. James thought this was cute and executed said plan ;)

To celebrate Mother's Day (and really as a family we needed some FUN!), we went to Great Wolf Lodge for a night. One day, I will take my camera to the water park but at this season as a parent I want to bring both kids home alive and the water park is a very hand's on experience for all of us!

Our Week

We conquered the world this week (seriously, we did so many fun things - I think we may need a fun detox!).

Playtime at Chick-fil-A. We had had allot of tough days in a row so we had a "yes day" - no chores, no errands, and determination to end the day mostly happy. The kids are always asking to play at Chick-fil-A so we faced our germy fears and played in the play space. Bare feet and all.

A trip to the pool later in the week.

Painting...

My all time favorite activity - strawberry picking! Brings back great memories and it is just a rite of passage James was thrilled I was doing this with the kids and he was not - I guess we do not all have great memories picking fruit!

We came home tired, happy, dirty, and with many green strawberries. Next year Isaac will be learning the different between green and red BEFORE going berry picking (haha!).
