Happy 5 Months

We made it to 5 months! Whoohoo. Almost to 6 months so that is worth a party right???

18lbs and some change.

Not eating solids yet (not quite interested).

Loves his big sister and being outside.

He has outgrown his infant car seat and has moved into a convertible seat (this was bittersweet for Mom because when the baby falls asleep in the car it is nice to just move the baby inside or pop his seat on the stroller!).

He outgrew the baby bath seat and got promoted to a toddler bath seat and taking baths with Lydia (hurray!!!!!!).

He outgrew the bouncy seat and got moved to a high chair for when we eat meals (seeing a theme???). Yes, we put the bouncy seat on the table because Isaac likes to be part of the family when we eat dinner. Anyway, he is equally happy in the high chair with a bunch of toys - just gotta be part of the family!

We like our little guy and can't wait until he grows up a little more :)

Isaac is in LOVE with his big sister. (Really every family should have an older child to entertain the baby - would make babies so much easier!).

Sssshhhhh

Lydia this week has been reading several books that have words that start with "SH" (like she, shoe, etc...). I was trying to explain to her that anytime she sees sh in a word that it says "ssshhhhh". Lydia kept getting so frusterated with me. Which is odd usually she takes information like that to heart and is thrilled for new info. I finally asked her why she was getting upset. "Mom you are telling me ssssshhhhhh and I want to read to you not be quiet!!!!!". Gotcha - keep sounding out "sh" then :) This girl makes me laugh!

Our Week

We almost got a warm day the middle of last week and I quickly whisked the kids outside to play! It wasn't really that warm and we were inside quickly but...

Isaac finds life really really really funny and is laughing hysterically. Sadly we did not take a video...

We have become "make our own granola" people and Lydia thinks dessert is granola :)

We are pushing our little man into big kid bath time. I have to wash him and he is just too big for the baby tub so he is sorta sitting up and we defiantly don't leave his side like this (infact James took pictures and I sat by the tub!). Lydia thinks this is sooooooo exciting!

"I am going to make good choices TODAY".

Doctor Ballerina Lydia to the rescue!

Tip for Life: grease the pan!

Isaac can stick his foot in his mouth.

Lydia can stick her foot in her mouth. Impressive uh?

Need we say more???

I did not ask...

Isaac's Week

Goodbye Bouncy Seat. Isaac has loved the Bouncy seat and this week he broke the "boing". The seat still works just missing the bounce that makes the seat so much fun! Disadvantage to being on overachiever on growing.

Say Cheese!

Kisses for Isaac

Smile Isaac!

Dance Class!

Lydia has been taking a dance class where she has had soooooo much fun! She has twirled, jumped, and talked every day about dance class. This week was parent observation day and it became evident that Lydia really does LOVE dance class ;)

"Mom are you really going to watch me dance???"

Isaac enjoyed dance class allot - don't you think?

The children all sitting in a row waiting their turn. Yep, that is my sweet little girl standing on her head. I really love parent observation days and I love the fact that I get to have the little girl who is SOOOOOO excited to have an audience she can't focus. hehe - not being sarcastic. For years I have always finished teaching a class and just love the little one who marches to her own drum beat!
