Happy Eight Months!

Happy Eight Months Isaac! Our little guy is filled with smiles and giggles...

Always watching Lydia!

Likes to eat his toys:

Would prefer to not smile on command:

But will appease Mom if he must:

But a monkey is more interesting:

Got two teeth (so now our feet have bite marks!).

We are always moving:

Isaac is fun to have around and we are glad to have him around :)

Our Week

I have been working on making the basement a space that everybody likes to be (Isaac needs some real estate in the basement too!). SO as we rearranged Lydia's world we made a cozy space for reading (or playing with a baby...) that includes super fun pillows. The first pillow was a huge success!

"I can throw the pillow too!" And really is a play space a play space without pillows to throw at your family ;)

And a quiet place to rest your head after that burst of energy and excitement!

"Hi people! I am no longer sitting in the doorway in the basement."

The pillow has been a huge success in Lydia's world!

Lydia received her name in Russian. Amazing treat for a Russian loving little girl!

Mark this in the baby book - Isaac ate a jar of baby food. He had some tongue tie issues early in his life and I realized he was seemingly struggling with some foods. So we are not big on baby food but I am glad to see Isaac enjoying swallowing. It is a Mommy thing ;)

Isaac also enjoyed a french fry this week (if the rest of the family is going to eat junk food he believes he should too). His french fry fell into his bib and that was a food that he was willing to go searching for!

Lydia has a really really really big mouth :)

ANOTHER empty bowl!

Lydia the photographer!

DeAnna the photographer

James was given tickets through his office to go to a baseball game. The kids both loved the experience (and then Isaac even "slept through the night" - he also went to bed super late but a solid chunk of sleep was AMAZING! Can we do the baseball game every night???

Lydia enjoyed the experience greatly. The food was "the best junk food EVER" (M&Ms and lemon ice if anybody cares!). Lydia talked about the basketball game for days. And yes, I tried to correct her over and over and over but she was convinced that she had seen a basketball game. We will work on sports one day I guess... The mascot was a bull and Lydia was also thrilled to see how funny the "cow place cow" was (i.e. the Chick-fil-A cow). So I think we also need to work on not every large stuffed mascot is the Chick-fil-A cow ;)

"Wonder if I can catapult myself onto the field???"

Sports apparently make the guys in our family very happy.

Posing for the Grandmas!

Photo bomb (let's face it Lydia and I were not that interested in the game).

Some days your world is just turned upside down...

Isaac learned how to lay down while sitting up and then proceeds to scoot on his tummy OR get up on all fours and fall flat on his face. Life is tough sometimes!

Lydia learned to wink...

Another floor pillow for the basement (seriously these are so fun!).

Our Week

Zucchini is AWESOME! Eating by myself is even better :)

Teething tablets equal happy medicine for Isaac. Screaming and inconsolable baby and 5 minutes later happily jumping and playing in the Excersaucer.

Isaac is scared of balls. Really really scared of balls.
P.S. I do try to take pictures of Lydia but she is going through a season where she does not like her picture taken. Sometimes I can sneak one on her but this season in life it really looks like we just don't like her and we love her allot!

Lydia was in a picture taking mood at swim time so I got lots and lots of pictures of her then!

HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!!!

"Why am I sitting in cold water outside???"

Lydia can be a whale on the sand. Yes, for real that is what she is doing!

Sweetness :)

"I still don't understand this activity Mom but I am going to to go with it anyway..."

Lydia has been invited to go sailing. On a real sailboat. Lydia believes she will be doing THIS. That should be a shocking (but fun!) experience for her.

"Ok, so I am supposed to play in the water and move around???"

"Dry land inside suits me better. Don't you think???"

SO many baby cuddles this week!

Isaac has allot of tea parties during the day. He is loved though!

GOTCHA Lydia ;) She is so cute!

"I think you are crazy if you want me to sign 'more' before getting more food!"

It's a pile of kids! Yes, they pose like this often ;) Jealousy starts early in some relationships...

I actually had time for a little sewing project this week. DeAnna gets free time and makes a pillow for the kids. Makes sense right???

Yes, Isaac has graduated to being on my back! FREEDOM :)

I can put cold food into the cold oven (not brave enough to take hot food out of the hot oven while wearing the baby!).
