A Fun Morning of Play

Isaac has been sick so we have been home. More and more my kids are showing me they really are the happiest just hanging out at home playing toys. So we spent the morning building a race track and Isaac chasing everybody with the lawn mower ;) 

Tool bench!

Every little boy needs a tool bench right? Isaac has enjoyed building with his tool bench and Lydia has enjoyed making pancakes with the tool bench... Go figure!

We usually buy toys used but I could not find a tool bench used and in decent condition (apparently toddler boys are tough on toys...). We realized as putting this toy together - we prefer buying used.

Isaac's Birthday Explosion of Fun

We make every effort to keep birthdays simple at our house and every birthday seems to become huge. Small or big the kids always enjoy their celebrations ;)

Birthday cards in the mail are so much fun (for everybody!).

More birthday cards (but Lydia wasn't home to help with this envelope!).

Birthday cake making (Isaac really just likes to eat the batter!). 

A shopping trip with his birthday money... He liked the train best of all! 

Mom took the easy route on cake decorating and I think it turned out pretty cute. The "beep beep" boy LOVED his trucks. 

A package arrived from cousins far away. It took team work but Isaac likes his back pack allot ;)

I think Lydia and Isaac's different approaches to life are cute ;)
