Mother Son Night

Isaac and I got to have a night together while Lydia and James were off. Isaac and I went shopping earlier in the day and he picked out a brownie mix for dessert. He seems to be able to make choices easily - get out of the cart, pick the first item you see, carry said item through out the store ;) He loved stirring the brownie mix and loved dumping the water into the bowl. He enjoyed licking the spoon and the bowl. Isaac did not like the end of the brownie batter...

Chocolate drool even! His life is tough.
And then after that short drama free temper tantrum, the little guy remembered that he was thirsty from all that brownie dough and took a deep breath and kindly signed for "drink". Sure thing Isaac! I will even give you ice to distract you while I slip the leftover brownie batter into the oven.

Isaac was given the option to play outside or inside. I thought for a brief moment he might choose inside BUT outside won again!

We bought a new toy at the store with our brownie mix. Did you know that cow crayons turn into balls??? Oh, yes they do!

AND then we went and surveyed our farm land and discovered plums! Isaac was so excited to see plums and spotted them before I do. Right at toddler eye level ;)

Mother son night was fun too. Toddler fun that ended at 7:30 - haha!
