I have decided that I hate pacifiers. My child wants the pacifier in her mouth while she sleeps BUT she can not put it in her mouth on her own. When she wakes up in the middle of the night and discovers that is gone she whines which leads to crying which then leads to screaming. I slowly walk into her room, put the pacifier in her mouth, and she is asleep before I leave the room. Now if I could climb back in my bed and be asleep in moments as well, this would be ok but I can not. About the time I fall back asleep the baby wakes up and we repeat this process.
So I am officially done with THAT THING! No more playing the pacifier game. Tonight I am not giving it to her to fall asleep and we are moving past having that piece of plastic disturbing our sleep!
