Summer!

Our summer has become filled with bike rides, pool trips, library visits, days at the museum, and being outside all day long! Which equals very little nap time. So many weeks worth of pictures ;)

Isaac is giving us fits on food. Another story - silly boy! But he likes corn - on the cob. "I will do it myself mom".

Lydia and James were invited on a boating trip (well actually we all were but all day on a boat on a cool rainy day with a little guy who had just gotten over an ear infection did not sound that smart!).

"Boating pigtails". Which comically enough I have been trying to get Lydia to let me do something with her hair other than it being in her eyes for months so I am jumping on this "boating pigtails" bandwagon!

Pure delight! The "boat" has been super exciting to Lydia!

It was a rainy day so she was hiding inside the boat from the rain. Good idea ;)

Every little girl needs to drive a boat right???

James said Lydia tried really really hard to stay awake but 10 hours on a boat is exhausting!

Finger paint! Whoohoo!!!!!!

Actually Lydia finger painted.

Isaac whole body fingerpainted!

Chocolate pudding finger paint btw - totally nontoxic!

Isaac's work of art

Lydia's work of art.

Story time!

BOOTS, BOOTS, BOOTS! Lydia's favorite song at story time and she really likes "stomping in the rain".

Isaac at storytime. He has gone from sleepy newborn who calmly slept in his car seat at story time, to alert baby playing on a blanket at story time, to sitting up at story time and observing, and now he is at the "chase me mom stage"! He also really likes story time and Isaac and I bring our own books for the book reading time and he loves to participate in the dancing and singing.

Lydia made her corn into a man one night. She helped me prep dinner and was talking about her creation and when dinner time came she really wanted 2 m&ms for her corn old man (hence the mashed potato beard!).

A trip to the museum. Yes, the baby who will not take a bottle to save his life thoroughly enjoyed the bottles for the cows. Sucking them even. GROSS!

A farmer's work is never done - mud boots, mowing the grass, and feeding cows and chickens from a bottle.

New swaddle blanket (which thankfully Isaac is weaning off of and sleeps with arms - legs still swaddled!).

"Thank you mom for mowing the grass. I will once again play outside!".

Pulling up. A little scary for mom when your toys have wheels....

Some toys are entertaining to all....

for looooooonnnnnngggggggg stretches of time!

Lydia got a birthday present from Gramma Mary.

Isaac got shirts.

A bakery!
Happy 9 months Isaac....

Fire Truck Parade....

Swim Lessons!

Isaac is crawling so when ever Lydia does a puzzle she now takes a picture to show Dad rather than leaving the puzzle out...

My phone weather app said "dry conditions will continue". I thought that was really funny!

Movie Night

And the little man (who still won't roll over to save his life!) could open my "childproofed" cabinets in 7 seconds. I then took him to the store and gave him several options to figure out. We have new cabinet locks that he can not undo. Future engineer ;)

The children in the house think "a pile of kids picture" is just funny!
