Slugs and Cookies

We had an interesting combination of events going on in our morning. We had some work being done on the house and both kids loved loved loved standing at the door watching the work. Best "free" entertainment ever!

Lydia was scared of the work being done on the house and carried her bear around all morning long. Isaac was not scared at all. Infact if he could have been on the roof he would have been!

Sword fight with sticks! Who ever would have guessed sticks were so much fun ;)

AND then the highlight of the morning. We found a slug. And then Lydia accidentally stepped on said slug. So since the slug was already dead we sprinkled salt on the slug and watched it disintegrate.

And yes, Isaac touched the slug with his finger! EEEEKKKKKKK!

After slug fun (and touching a slug), we made Easter cookies. Yes, I realize Easter was weeks ago but Easter fun can be year round right???

Isaac participated too. Next time I should get a picture of him eating the cookie dough!

OH, Isaac! Love you dearly. Isaac wanted to be outside working on the house.
Circular saw? Mom, I can do it.
Drill? Totally Mom, I CAN DO IT.
Climbing ladders? You betcha Mom these feet that have been walking two months can certainly climb huge ladders.
Swinging from the roof??? YES, YES, YES, YES!!!!!!! Just let me get at it.

He spent allot of time laying on the floor crying. And whining at the door. AND carrying his drill around the house. It was a long morning for this little man who wanted to show his manly abilities to the girls all around him.
