Sewing Projects

Lydia finished her blanket for her baby brother this week. Amazing since she literally would sew for 5ish minutes at a time! A little at a time ;) She was soooooo excited when it was all done.

Sewing Projects

We have been busy crafting and sewing at our house. Lydia has been "helping" me make a masculine boppy cover. Her biggest contribution was picking out the colors (and look no hot pink or glitter!). 

Lydia is really into making faces right now. This is her mean face that if she holds it long enough a huge giggle breaks through!

We are still working on a very special baby blanket made by Lydia. We are maybe halfway through. Lydia is enjoying the process greatly and I hope her brother likes his special blanket! 

Sewing Projects

Lydia has been wanting to make a blanket for her baby. She has picked out fabric, helped wash the fabric, pinned the fabric together, and is enthusiastically sewing a couple inches at a sitting when the mood strikes her. I hope her baby brother likes the blanket as much as Lydia does (and the jury is still out if the baby will actually get the blanket or if Lydia will keep the blanket!!).

And I am working hard on replacing all the pink in our house with more "manly" options for a certain baby's dad (because let's face it a baby could care less what color his blanket is!).

Undecided if I like them or not. But I did finish the curtains. Hoping this helps the kitchen not be quite sooooo hot this summer.

I am super excited about this project. Bought the fabric on Friday and washed it same day. Soon I will have the energy to cut the fabric out and actually start sewing...

DeAnna's Hobby

DeAnna needed a hobby so I decided to start sewing. 

A crayon caddy (or in Lydia's mind a CRAYON PURSE for MEEEEEE!!!!!!)

The first one and I did not like the size of the pockets... 

The second crayon caddy that I liked the pockets better on! Lydia was delighted to see this sitting on the table with goodies in it for her :) 

So fun she kept telling me...

Baby doll dress number one - I wasn't a fan of the size.

Close tie if Lydia likes the baby doll clothes best or the crayon purse. But either way, I am enjoying having something to do that is not related to cleaning, cooking, paying bills, or toddler world!
