Tea Room

Lydia loves her tea parties. LOVES! We have many tea parties every single day. The guests at the tea parties are always different. And her favorite tea parties include the real china and cookies.

With this great love of all things tea I decided that Lydia would adore going to the tea room in Wake Forest. And she did.

First of all, let's set the stage with the attire Lydia chose to wear. The day before we left (in preparation for the excitement!) Lydia needed her fingers and toes painted. Christmas Red! Ooohhhhlaaaalaaaa! And we had many practice tea parties because well, one can never be too prepared.

The morning of her big tea party Lydia picked out striped tights and a hot pink shirt. I suggested that she wear the dress that matched the hot pink shirt and striped tights. Lydia did try this dress on and decided that another dress was much cuter. So on went the light pink and brown dress. Some battles aren't worth picking. AND because Christmas is coming oh so soon Lydia needed to wear her very special Rudolph hair bow.

And let's not forget the light pink Easter hat.

And the cute Easter bunny purse.

AND the pink boots that did not fit so we had to settle on ordinary brown shoes.

Seriously I should have gotten a picture of the ensamble and I totally forgot. But the outfit was totally Lydia!

When we got to the Tea Room and walked in the front door, Lydia could not help herself but to giggle just a bit. She was delighted with the menu, the fancy napkin, the apples were delicious. And her favorite part pink lemonade from a tea pot! Oh how she has talked about her pink lemonade (we never have pink lemonade and she has mentioned multiple times how much she liked pink juice from a tea pot!).

The tea room made quite the impression on Lydia and she looks forward to going back again ;)
