Blueberries and Beach

Last week, Lydia decided she was done with her "letter work" and she needed to work on the "beach". How can I argue with that! We printed off lots of "beach work" and she really wasn't that interested in projects this week. We don't force the issue and had lots of fun doing other things and the mood did hit her a couple times to "do her work". So she did.
Cutting, gluing, and making a pattern. One of her new favorite things!
I love her concentration on matching up the pattern.

Oh, and mazes. How we love mazes right now! Infact, mazes make one little girl really happy at our house :)

Dot art/find the letter B. Also a success.

Drawing people (eyes, nose, and mouth inside the circle!).

We had a small obsession with the book "Blueberries for Sal" so we decided to make blueberries with paint one day.

Lydia's interpretation of the Blueberries for Sal book.

We could not leave the grocery without buying blueberries and they were BOGO so we made a blueberry pie with ALL our blueberries!

And homemade icecream!

And after a hard day of playing at Grandma and Pappaw's, birthday party fun, making pie, playing with Dad, AND a long bike ride the little girl almost fell asleep while eating her much anticipated blueberry pie.
